NO TIME FOR YOUR READING LIST? WANT A FREE AUDIOBOOK?

Did you know that you can retain more information when you hear a book than when you read it?

When your conscious mind is focused on some menial task (washing dishes, running on the treadmill, taking a walk in the neighborhood, doing laundry, or driving), you inadvertently make mind connections between the information you're listening to and whatever visual or task you're focused on at the time.

Let's say you hear about a new life philosophy from Nietzsche right when you're washing a yellow mug in your house. Your brain will immediately link that philosophy with the yellow mug – a connection that cannot be erased. Three months later, when you're sipping coffee from that mug, the same philosophy will quickly come back to you.

Imagine how much more valuable your time could become if you tried out audiobooks! Suddenly, out of nowhere, you're looking forward to doing dishes, going to the gym, and sitting in your morning commute, precisely because those "chores" have become that much more valuable to you.

Back in 2013, my daily routine began to involve heavy loads of painfully slow freeway traffic, and after spending most of it listening to talk radio and podcasts, I finally realized that audiobooks would be just as easy and effortless to consume.

The information was sticking to my mind much easier, and I could recall entire chapters of books months after listening to them. That would be completely impossible with any physical book.

That meant I could technically be reading one book a week!
